An agreement between the U.S. and Croatia on the preservation of historic sites, religious buildings, cemeteries and memorials is signed by Croatia’s Culture Minister, Bozo Biskupic, left, and U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad Chairman Warren L. Miller, right, at the White House February 9th. Witnessing the signing are, from left, Croatia parliament member Mario Zubovic, Croatian Ambassador to the U.S. Neven Jurica, U.S. Commission member Gary J. Lavine, U.S. Special Envoy for Holocaust Affairs Edward O’Donnell, President Bush’s liaison to the Jewish community Noam Neusner, and National Security Council European and Eurasian Affairs Director Bertram Braun.
