The Commission worked with the Russian Jewish Congress to build a Holocaust memorial in Bryansk, a part of the Congress’ Baby Yars of Russia Memorials Program. Commission Member Harriett Rotter was responsible for funding the Commission’s contribution. The memorial was built by the Bryansk Jewish community. It honors some 500 Jews executed at the site on March 2, 1942.
