Preliminary Agreements
In addition to negotiating agreements between the Government of the United States and other governments for the protection and preservation of certain cultural properties, the Commission has negotiated preliminary agreements with some foreign governments or agencies of foreign governments. The preliminary agreements committed to negotiate full agreements. Preliminary agreements have been entered into with seven countries: Bulgaria, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland. Agreements have been entered into with all of these other than Poland.
